Niya Stoimenova

Niya Stoimenova is the Reliable AI lead of DEUS.ai where she and her team are developing solutions that foster responsible AI development by harmonising organisational objectives, model performance, and human perspectives. Niya also holds a PhD from Delft University of Technology, the Netherlands. Her research is focused on shaping the theoretical foundations of common-sense (abductive) reasoning. A pursuit that holds promise for the creation of more sustainable and elegant models that rely on significantly smaller data sets. With a multidisciplinary background encompassing (organisational) design, mathematics, and philosophy, Niya approaches AI with a holistic vision, steadfastly focused on mitigating potential harmful unintended consequences inherent to AI systems.
